BEECHMOUNT LIZZIE WINS THE 2025 (ROI) IMCS NATIONAL TITLE

The ROI) IMCS National was held once again at Tullamore Show.  Judges for the occasion were both from Northern Ireland – Albert Baxter from Newtownstewart, owner of the Beauty Hill Irish Moiled herds  and Apprentice Judge Rachel Armour from Maghera, owner of the Beagh herd of Irish Moileds.

Success and the National Title along with the White/Gilsenan Champion Cup  went to the Joe Boyce and family from Co. Limerick with their 3rd calver Beechmount Lizzie.

The Boyce family purchased  their first Irish Moileds in one of the first online H & H Magnificent Moilie auctions which included the young heifer Beechmount Lizzie bred by Robert Boyle from Millisle, Co. Down.  The Boyce family have had numerous championships at shows with Beechmount Lizzie as well as producing a calf each year.

Beechmount Lizzie won the cow class with her strong bull calf at foot Rockhill Alan.  Rockhill Alan went on to win the calf class as well as overall reserve supreme champion. Rockhill Alan is out of the AI bull Silverwood Bramble.

Judges comments – The champion is a correct traditional cow, with a great topline and udder with a great bull calf at foot.

The annual Autumn H & H Magnificent Moilie online auction takes place from 25th – 27th September, giving new breeders or breeders wanting to add new bloodlines to their herd the perfect opportunity to purchase elite Irish Moileds from some of the top herds in the breed.
