The Irish Moiled Cattle Society is recognised as a Breed Society in the Republic of Ireland and has a Breeding Programme fully regulated by the European Union under Regulations (EU) 2016 /1012. This enables the Society to register Irish Moiled cattle from all 3 constituencies, within the one Herd Book, to issue Zootechnical Certificates and trade on a worldwide basis.
Extensive effort has gone into ensuring, that we continue to retain our identity and are still the one undivided Society. We are governed by the same elected Board of Directors. We have two companies, the parent company registered in the EU, responsible for administering the Breeding Programme and the UK companies’ main purpose will be the promotion of the breed.
There will be two AGMs, one for each company, held in succession on the same evening Wednesday 6th August 2025 at 7.30pm. The AGM format will follow that of last year – the parent company’s election of Directors and approval of accounts will take place first and the approval of accounts for the UK company will take place immediately after. All Directors for the UK company will be adopted automatically from the previous parent company.
