A Cattle Workshop Evening and AGM
and Bar-be que

A Classification Workshop evening including the launch of the new Breed Standard, AGM and Bar-be-que will take place on Monday 30th July 2012 at Valerie Orr's Farm, 30 Saintfield Road, Ballygowan, Newtownards, Co Down, BT23 6HB starting from 5.30pm.

A fully packed evening is being organised kicking off with a BBQ between 5.30 and 7pm where you will also get the chance to view the Knowehead herd at your leisure. An evening discussion will follow starting with the launch of the new Breed Standard and then an informal presentation by Mr John Westaway on the 'Classification Scoring System' of Irish Moiled's. John has many years' experience classifying, working for Holstein UK classifying several breeds. He now works for Westaways who run a breeding programme for Aberdeen Angus and Holsteins. John has been involved in the setting up of classifying in the Dexter Cattle Society and would judge at shows including in Native and Rare Breeds classes. Crossgar Meats will also be there to update members on the Irish Moiled Premium Beef Scheme they run.

The event as well as being very educational will be a great social opportunity for members and their families  to meet each other and of course sample some delicious Irish Moiled burgers!

The evening's proceedings will be concluded with the Annual General Meeting at 8.30pm.
